The Flight 93 Memorial Site is a little bit of a drive from the Pennsylvania Turnpike, but it is an absolute must see if you are in the area. From the Somerset Interchange, Exit 110 you are going to go straight onto N Pleasant Ave. When you come to the next intersection, Stoystown Rd, make a left. Take Stoystown Rd, PA-281, 9 Miles to US 30 and make a right on US 30. Four miles up on your right is Approach Rd which brings you into the Flight 93 Memorial Site.
In our opinion, the National Park Service could not have done a better job with the memorial site. It is just about impossible to leave with a dry eye. Things you thought you knew will be even more clear. There are things you probably don’t know that you will learn. You will realize emotions you thought you had dealt with, are just as vivid as they were the day it happened.
There is no filming or photography allowed, so turn your phones off on the way in so you aren’t tempted. There is no entrance fee for the Flight 93 Memorial site, but there is a small store in the visitors center. There is parking in front of the visitor center, and down by the memorial site. You can drive between the two, or walk along road on a groomed path.
